Legend on export, plus a version stamp

Exported PNGs now include a legend at the bottom showing the symbols used in that drawing, so whoever receives the print can read it. The toolbar also shows the current version (beta).

27 electrical symbols, with standard labels

Added 10 new symbols and labeled the switches and outlets the way they read on real plans.

• New symbols: 4-way switch, CO detector, bath exhaust fan, phone jack, dryer outlet, range outlet, EV charger, coax / TV outlet, wall sconce, and flood light.
• Clearer labels: switches now show S3 and S4 (3-way and 4-way), GFCI and 240V outlets are labeled, and CO / EV / CATV are marked.

Backup and Restore, in plain words

Renamed the old "Export / Import JSON" to Backup and Restore so it's obvious what it does. The backup file is self-contained (your blueprint is saved inside it), so you don't need the PNG separately.

Privacy policy and feedback

Published a privacy policy and added an in-app Feedback form. Your projects stay on your device; nothing is uploaded or tracked.

Works on tablets and phones

Added touch support: collapsible side panels, pinch to zoom, and drag to pan on touch screens.

Crop your blueprint on import

Crop the plan to the area you need when you upload it, and fade the background so your markings stand out.

First release

WireDraft launched: upload a blueprint, place electrical symbols, draw circuits, add notes, and export a marked-up PNG. Free, no account, works offline.
